11/11 Veteran’s Day Tog… Snug Harbor, RI Captain Scott reported a decent day of black fishing despite the gale force winds all day. With adverse conditions Captain Scott and his crew of fisherman did manage to put together a catch of blackfish.
A few limits were reached today.
Some notable catches included Levon (fishing for reel) son of Andrea won both pools and was high hook on keepers and the pool fish of 8lbs 7oz.
There were a few bigger fish in the 9lb class but not in the pool.
Most fish today fell for the white crab as the green crab didn’t work as well today. The wind definitely seem to knock down the catch slightly over the last three days of superior fishing.
Please note that Saturday, November 12 the island current III is sold out. Our next available open boat trip will be this Sunday, November 13 th departing at 5 AM for giant blackfish.
