1/31 Island Current III…Much Improved Codfishing…Snug Harbor, RI

Capt. Scott reported a light crowd of anglers this morning who got an early jump to the grounds. Morning was slow and the high winds gave us no choice but to anchor.

By the mid morning the wind flopped out and we tried the drift. It didn’t take long before we were seeing 5-6 fish a drift. By ends day everyone had big bags of fresh Cod fillets to bring home …Some highlights of today’s trip included Leon W.  taking the pool with a 17 pound Cod.

Clam’s did the trick today, out producing the jigs.
