34lb COW…..COD CRUSH Captain Scott Dec 17th BOATLIMIT of COD….What a day! The weather sucked but the fishing was outstanding ! By 12 we were all done with a boat limit of market Cod playing catch and release. Mr Kilsong charted out the Island Current III with a great group of eager fisherman. The fishing couldn’t had got much better for his group with double headers being the norm today the bite was savage all day, with lots of nice market cod all around the boat today. Gold Jigs by far was the secret today it easily out fished the bait ! High hooks Eric P from upstate had 37 keepers (orl) John from Brooklyn had 33keepers (orl) Mr Kilsong had the cow Cod weighing in at 37lbs the beast fell for a (jig&pop) 8ounce gold diamond hammer jig the rod combo was the challenger bank c-801m & jig master reel. didn’t matter what was put in front of them today the bite was ferocious!!
