3/6 Slow Cod Bite Aboard Island Current III…Snug Harbor, RI
Captain Scott called in to report a beautiful day weatherwise but an extremely tough grind on the codfish grounds. With the boat not having gotten out in a week, we had seen a very good crowd of anglers eager to dig in on last weeks good fishing. The crew and captain put in extreme effort but the fish didn’t want to chew. We tried both inshore and saw a few cod and the same thing as we ventured further offshore we saw some ling but only a few cod. 
We will be monitoring the weather to see the next fishable day.
