ISLAND CURRENT FLEET: PORGIES & STRIPED BASS
Today 5/23 we sailed with te of our four boats. PORGY fishing was EXCELLENT with some real GOLIATH PORGIES taking the bait. Ca. James reported that Frankie C. from the Bronx took the pool with a 19.5 inch porgy weighing in at 4 1/2 pounds. There were many jumbo jumping on the hooks.
Ca. Scott oard the ISLAND CURRENT IV reported that Walter M. group from Yonkers offically weighed in a 44 pounder at Jack`s Bait & Tackle. There were many blues caught up to 10 pounds. Over this weekend we have seen some quaity striped bass!
