Capt. Scott reported another solid day of Codfishing aboard the 76′ ISLAND CURRENT III. The conditions were less than ideal but nevertheless persevered into keeping the rods bent most of the day. The drifting conditions were fast going between 2/3 knots with a stronger than forecasted.
Some highlights of today’s codfish outing included don & chuck from CT with a combined 25 keepers, capt bob R. From Albany NY had his limit of fat green cod and also took home the pool with a plump 16 1/2 lber. Scott/earnie from Carlson charters in Groton, ct had a combined 27 keepers all on the “iron clam.”
Today most of the anglers were bait fisherman.
Tomorrow’s forecast looks good as the 76′ ISLAND CURRENT III will be set to sail at 5 am.
