Today, 1/11 Ca. James reported a solid day of winter codfishing oard the ISLAND CURRENT III. There was a good shot of fish in the daybreak hours with very good drifts. Then it became a steady pick of fish, nothing super b action. Then by the afternoon the fish once again growled and p on a superb bite at the end of the day.
Congratulations to our loyal patron Mr. Hall for taking a 20 pound cod to win the pool caught on fresh skimmer clam. The fish responded well to both jigs and bait rigs.
We had a special guest appearance by Big John DeCuffa and the boys from Jack`s Bait & Tackle.
Ca. Brendan was oard the ISLAND CURRENT II for a private charter for Timmy & Mr. Chim from Queens, NY. The group had a banner day with the codfish. Everyone had a great time fishing and was great seeing old friends reunited.
