8/19 August heating up on ISLAND CURRENT FLEET, City Island NY
8/19 Capt. Scott reported yet another spectacular local porgy trip. Lots of limits and plenty of fish to go around the boat for another wonderful turn-out. Lots of variety with sea bass, flounder, fluke, weakfish, and bluefish keeping anglers busy all day long. Worms have been the ticket and lots of triple headers have been flying over the rail. Congratulations to George for taking the pool prize and his wife Gerri for once again claiming hi-hook honors.
Capt. Jimmy was also dialed in on the great night bluefishing. Plenty of fish in the 8 to 12 class as well as good eating cocktails in the 3 to 5 pound class.
Looks like the blues are here to stay as the enormous amounts of bait are present. All the right signs for an amazing fall.
All the ISLAND CURRENT FLEET boats are out today and will also be out again tonight.
