Yesterday, 7/31, the entire fleet was o with te of the boats working the bluefish and striper grounds. Ca. Dan oard the ISLAND CURRENT reported a very productive trip on both jigs and bait. Ca. Dan was also very pleased to see 7 keeper striped bass mixing into the catch. The daytime action has been on jigs and bait.
Ca. James was running the ISLAND CURRENT III and noticed a BIG improvement in the PORGY fishing. All the anglers were catching HUMPBACK PORGIES and both worms and clams produced o the same.
Pool fish are still in the 2 pound class.
