Island Current III February 2nd

February 2nd …Captain Scott had the Island current lll again and reported another blue bird day for begging of February. Tasty Lings were out in force again today, There was plenty of short life as well today keeping anglers very busy playing catch and release thru out the day. We ended up once again venturing east and south on the hunt away from the fleet. We found fish everywhere we went and were able to put together a catch. Pat @ Lefty from CT had combined 14 keeper cod with 17ling (lefty won the pool as well with a 8lb cod) Mike and his buddy from flushing had 9 keeper Cod and a bucket full of Ling & ocean perch. The bow was the place to be with a majority of the keeper life. The clam out fished the jig once again today…. Looks like Friday and the weekend are perfect we will be ready to set sail at 5am.
