Island Current January 28

Today 1/28 captain James reports a very slow day on the cod grounds. The boat had a light crowd of anglers and tried very hard all day but could not get the fish to chew. It was picky on all drops. 
Hi hook today was only 3 keepers. The boat tallied 15 keeper cod, 6 shorts, & 3 ling. 
Capt Scott from the charter boat Wee Jack from montauk won the pool with a 10 lb cod. 
Tomorrow is a new day and both boats will be sailing. The weather looks great and hopefully the fishing will do a complete 360. 
There is plenty of room on the open boat the next four days. Please feel free to pay aboard the boat, just text or call capt. Chris your name and the number of people.
