9/11 Island Current Fleet Bottom Fishing At Its Finest
9/11 today we had all three of the island current fleet vessels out fishing. Both captain Jimmy and Captain Scott reported a phenomenal day of local bottom fishing for porgies and Seabass. Double headers were the norm. The bait of choice was both fresh Jack’s Bait and Tackle sandworms, squid and fresh skimmer clams.
Night fishing continues to be very solid as we are seeing pool fish being caught up to 15 pounds daily. Most of the fish are now being caught on the bottom anywhere from 5 to 10 turns off the bottom.
Tomorrow, Monday, 9/12 we will be out with all three of the ic fleet vessels.
