TOG CRUSH …Capt. Scott Nov 16, reported a phenomenal day of togging. We made two drops in the early morning seeing only a dozen or so keepers on each of the first couple drops. We then made a move a few miles to the south and OMG like a lite switch they started to chew, with as many as 10+ fish on at one time. A limit of blackfish was easy today as everyone went home with there 6 tog. I personally saw 20+ double headers on deck as it was to much for the crew to Handel I had to Rush down to net fish for awhile. 4 fish over the 10lb mark today, A handful of Seabass and 1 Cod also rounded out the catch, quite a few tog in six to eight pound range as well today. Pool fish honors goes to Sukhwan Choi from NJ with a 12.lb 13 ounce slob. His crew of 4ppl put on the show with high hook honors as well, with a combined total of 40+ keepers (only retaining limit) Andy locksmith crew of Danny, jimmy, chris, Ronnie, Andra,Vin and Grady a few of the City Island regulars weren’t far behind with some impressive catches as well. Long time regular Mellisa from Wakefield RI also had 6 giant slobs of her own. Tomorrow we will be ready to set sail on the Island Current lll at 5am. Weather looks great hope to see you soon for some incredible RI fishing.
