ISLAND CURRENT FLEET UPDATE
We officially finished our New York season today and will start back up in City Island starting April 1, 2014. Capt. Chris & his crew would like to thanks all our patrons and friends for making this season amazing! As of this writing both the 76` ISLAND CURRENT III & 50` ISLAND CURRENT II are being spruced up and will be joining the 65` ISLAND CURRENT EXPRESS in its SNUG HARBOR, RI location.
Prior to before the heavy southerly on Wednesday the local tog fishing was lights out spectacular. On Friday, we were greeted with mild temperatures and beautiful, flat clam seas; however, the water quality was very murky and definitely affected the blackfishing.
On Saturday, we had a full boat load of anglers and the fishing was vastly improved from the day before however, nothing compared to the fishing earlier in the week.
On Sunday, Capt. Scott called into report a full boat limit of tog up to 9 1/2 pounds! Congratulations to party boat regular Mr. Flaco from the Bronx. Our long time regulars Paul & Irene were also out and put a wonderful catch of these fine tasting critters. With the long term forecast looking so positive, we are anticipating sailing everyday this week at 5 AM.
The 65` ISLAND CURRENT EXPRESS will be departing from its Rhode Island berth at 5 AM for monster blackfish. There is plenty of room with no overcrowding.

PRIVATE CHARTERS for BLACKFISH, CODFISH, SEA BASS, & PORGIES aboard the 65` ISLAND CURRENT EXPRESS starts at $2,400 for 20 passengers; $100 each additional person.
