Saturday, 1/14 Capt. Scott Island Current III…Finds Mother Load…Full Boat Limit…Lots of Double Header CodfishCaptain Scott was very happy to report today it was a banner day on the codfish grounds. After a slow start to the morning and some variation in location to where we’ve been fishing captain Scott found the mother load of codfish. Today the jig fishing definitely had an advantage while working the iron clam. Hammer diamond jigs in the 8 to 12 ounce range produced superior action with lots of doubleheader coming over the rail. High hook today was 17 codfish only retaining limit with pool fish running 16 pounds. Today there were lots of fish in the 10 to 15 pound class as the gaffs were flying
