Today, Tues., 2/26, Ca. James ran the 76` ISLAND CURRENT III today with a great crowd of anglers. Ca. James reported a very resple day of winter codfishing. There were several nice shots of fish in the morning where it was stop and stick fishing. By late morning it had slowed up and the rest of the day was just a pick of fish. Some highlights of today`s codfish oing included Mr. Ray Burke from the Mad Gaffer with 8 keepers, Wayne P., from NJ had his limit of fresh green cod, Charlie Brookes from the Ocean View Motel had 7 keepers, with most anglers walking away with 5-6 nice size cod apiece. There were lot of short fish that were carefully released to swim another day. It was a beaiful day on the water and the fishing remains good.
Wednesday`s trip is cancelled due to GALE winds.
The ISLAND CURRENT FLEET is sailing at 4 AM oard the 76` ISLAND CURRENT III and fully stocked with fresh skimmer clams and plenty of shell bait for chum.
