ISLAND CURRENT FLEET: OPEN BOAT & PRIVATE CHARTERS
The Sunday, 10/7 forecast was completely off. Our open boat crowd was very light due to the omnious weather predicted; however, for those that attended if was stellar. Ca. Scott remarked as it was a full boat limit and the mates were cleaning fish at the dock even with a light load. BONUS season is in FULL SWING, 40 fish per angler at 11 inches. Please note BLACKFISH season is now open and the regulations are 4 fish at 16 inches.
Our day time charters over the weekend were excellent as lots of blues and even weakfish were boated. Ca. Dan oard the ISLAND CURRENT II was into the fish and pting a hurting on the blues using diamond jigs. Ca. Pete was skipper of the ISLAND CURRENT IV and also jigging the blues as there were 30 to 40 foot plies of blues. Ca. Paul was on the ISLAND CURRENT and reported EXCELLENT bait chunking for blues way down to the west.
We are sailing daily at 6:30 PM as an open boat and PRIVATE CHARTERS are availle seven days or nights a week.
