Tuesday, 2/21 Ca. James reported a good day on winter codfishing in beaiful conditions. It was a once stop day for the ISLAND CURRENT III. It was not “Fast & Furious” b it was a steady pick tougho the day will occasional flurries. By day`s end most anglers faired very well. For example, Pat D., from CT was hi-hook leading the way with 12 keepers (ORL) & 8 ling, Kevin P., from Hartford, CT had 9 keepers and also tool the pool with a fat 14 pound green cod, Mike D., from CT had 7 keepers, and John & Ken from RI had 9 keeper cod & 12 ling respively.
Ca. Brendan reported a tough cod bite today on the private charter oard the ISLAND CURRENT II, for Bill T., and crew from RI. The cod action was slow b Ca. Brendan did manage to find some tasty ling to p a catch together.
We are NOT sailing Wed., due to weather and the private charter on the IC2 has been cancelled.
