12/21 Strong Cod & Sea Bass Bite…Island Current III…Snug Harbor, RI

Captain Scott reported that it was a very slow start in the early morning and after several attempts of adjustments started to get in on a good groove of fishing by 10 AM this morning.

Some highlights of today’s action included Joe H limiting out and also taking the pool with a 33 pound cod.  Also limiting out on the card was Michael Jung  from Long Island New York having his limit of cod plus one in the 30 pound class.  Today there were three fish over 30 pounds and a dozen fish in the 20 pound class. Considering the good crowd of codfish enthusiast the majority of the boat had their limit of black Seabass or came very close. After putting in a full day and Captain Scott locating the surplus of bait things turned out very well by days end.

We will be definitely sailing Friday, December 22 at 5 AM for codfish and Seabass. All tickets can be purchased online at Islandcurrent.com if you would prefer to pay cash on board please just text or call Captain Chris at 917-417-7557 and he will manually hold your reservation.
