FRIDAY, 2/10 COD OARD ISLAND CURRENT FLEET: SNUG HARBOR, RI
Today 2/10 both the 50` ISLAND CURRENT II & 76″ ISLAND CURRENT III were o on the cod grounds. The ISLAND CURRENT III set sail with a very light crowd of 7 anglers who enjoyed a very SOLID day of winter codfishing. Ca. James reported that there were some very resple catches. Some highlights included Mike I., from from City Island leading the way with 15 (ORL), Tom W., from CT had 14 keepers (ORL), Richie from City Island with 12 (ORL), Andrew G., from NJ with 12 (ORL), and Tommy Waveo from City Island, NY took home the pool with a 28 pounder.
Ca. Brendan was o oard the 50` ISLAND CURRENT II and reported a slow pick, grind all day. His small group of 12 managed o 50 keepers for the day. The guys worked hard, chummed and bounced around b it was just a slow pick. Ca. Brendan mentioned, some drops would start to look promising and then came the dog invasion. Yesterday`s pool fish oard the IC2 was weighed in at 44 pounds.
