Island Current Fleet

Capt. Chris would like to thank everyone who stopped bye our booth #303. It was great seeing so many familiar faces, old time friends, and new clientele. It was an amazing show as this is our 20th year in attendance.

Our next sports show will be at the Edison Convention Center, Saltwater Sportsman Show.

A HUGE SHOUT OUT TO MY ALL-STAR CREW: Mates Antony, Caroline, Capt. Jimmy, Capt. Lynn, Capt. Scott, Capt. Chris, Savannah, Maggie, & Murphy 🎣 Thank You!

Capt. Scott 👨🏻‍✈️ called in to report a solid day of winter #codfish. We worked a large area and saw fish on all drops. Great to see the #fish spread out into a larger area. We caught both at the #anchor cracking shells and also on the drift. There is still loads of #mackerel in the area.

High hook was Leo Lypski from NJ catching 11 keepers (ORL).  Everyone else had between 1-4 fish each respectively. All fish were caught on the #bait!

We will be ready to sail the next fishable day hoping that it will be Sunday. Please book tickets 🎫 online at

Looking to set up a private #charter…. we’ve got you covered for groups of all sizes. Small groups of 6 passengers to larger groups up to 125 passengers. Now is the time to book choice dates. Call / text Capt. Chris at 917.417.7557 or check out our site at 🐟⛴

2/1 Slow Day Codfishing

Captain Scott 👨🏻‍✈️reported a nice turn out of #anglers this morning on yet another beautiful, mild and flat calm day out on the ocean. Unfortunately, #fishing was extremely slow today! Capt. Scott traveled and explored far and wide but to no avail. The general area that we’ve been fishing in once again showed prominent and amazing signs of life with plenty of bait in the area; however, the #fish just did not want to chew for us today. When fishing is good we tell you….when it’s not we tell you like it is… just a very slow day on the water today.

Our next sailing dates will be Tuesday, February 4 and Wednesday, February 5 departing at 5 AM. Please book tickets 🎫 online at

If you are inquiring about setting up a private winter #Codfish trip please contact Capt. Chris directly at 917-417-7557 for Charter pricing and availability. #islandcurrentfishing #islandcurrentfleet #islandcurrentfishingfleet #rhodeislandfishing #codfish
