Captain Scott Dec 10th BOATLIMIT of COD& SEABASS
What a day! By 10am this morning a cooler count was made and it was official a Cod limit was reached ! We made a small steam to get our Seabass limit and by noon we hit the three horns. Signaling it was time to head to the barn. We can just hope that this historic winter cod fishing just keeps up like the savage bite we experienced all morning, with plenty of nice market cod all around the boat today. It was just a excellent turn out for the eager cod fish anglers!!! Bait, jigs or bubble gum didn’t matter what was put in front of them today the bite was ferocious!! Nothing huge with the best in the low teens. High hook was capt Romeo from NY with 23 Cod (orl) his crew of 5 informed me it was easier the scup fishing today. Long time regular Dennis from City Island had his limit of cod & Seabass he actually had to take a break for a while cause he developed the claw from holding the rod and turning the Handel on fish all morning. Pool honors goes to Fernando Almotr from Queens with 21lb Cod… Weather looks great for the weekend. We will set sail tomorrow at 5am.
