Today, Mon., 1/24 the ISLAND CURRRENT III sailed with a handful of die-hard fisherman. With the windchill in the negatives and some sloppy seas this did not stop the COD. There was a savage bite with larger codfish. Everyone on board had their limit and pool fish was around 16 pounds. All the fish were caught on fresh skimmers.
Some hi-hook highlights included Ted & Dean from NY, Tony Reyes from Brooklyn, NY, and Jose S., from the Bronx, NY.
The seas were flattening down and the temperature will be climbing up to 36 degrees on Tuesday. The forecast for Tuesday, 1/25 looks awesome as light winds & flat seas are in the forecast.
Today even in the coldest conditions, the warm heated cin, fresh breakfast and hot burgers ke everyone well energized.
