Well, with the picture perf weather & good fishing both the 50` ISLAND CURRENT II & 76` ISLAND CURRENT III were o in full force. Calm seas and mild temperatures made for comfortle fishing. The morning and early afternoon was a slow steady pick of fish.
Both Ca. Brendan & Ca. James ke in constant communication refusing to blow te whistles and ke on the hunt. Their “Never Surrender” attide was shortly rewarded as the last few hours of the day was an all o slaughter. It was drop and stick fishing and with the beaiful “rock hard” organge fresh skimmers it was “GAME ON!”
When both Caains contacted me it was slightly after 4 PM and they were still on the grounds. Here are a few of the highlights of today`s codfishing highlights. oard the ISLAND CURRENT III, Jeff from RI had 14 (ORL), Bob & Karen from Albany, NY had 26 (ORL), Philip from eastern PA had 16 (ORL), and Mr. John Cook took the pool with a 15 pounder. A superb way to end the day with an entire boat load bending the rods.
On our sister vessel, the ISLAND CURRENT II was leaning into the fish as well. Ca. Brendan struck GOLD in the late afternoon. Our trip today was headed by Frank G., from RI and a great bunch of guys who never gave up and and was always positive. An unbelievle day on the water with hard work and dedication yielding super dividends.
Once again, lots of massive bait concentrations holding good amounts of cod. We are sailing SUPER BOWL SUNDAY at 5 AM. We currently have a light crowd and we are definitely sailing at 5 AM.
