Today 2/3 was another unbelievele day of weather and solid fishing. Both the 50` ISLAND CURRENT II & 76″ ISLAND CURRENT III were o on the cod grounds bending the rods and catching cod.
Once again, FRESH BAIT, FRESH BAIT, was the ticket and plenty of CHUM. From the helm of the ISLAND CURRENT III, Ca. James described the first drop as being picky until he decided to venture off. The second drop provided non-stop action for two solid hours, as anglers were le to limit o and p very resple catches together. Some highlights of the open boat trip today included limits to Dick C., from Snug Harbor, RI, Mike Z., from CT, Charles M, from Warick, RI. A lot of anglers had catches between 3 to 7 fish apiece. Cis M., from LI, NY and his group of four had 25 keeper cod in total. Pool fish today was a very resple 23 pounder. Look who caught `em? Congratulations!
oard the ISLAND CURRENT II, Ca. Brendan called in to relay word of yet another solid day of codfishing. Eager Brendan was excited with the steady action and ideal weather conditions. He described the bite as good with steady action all tough o the day. Our private charter from MA headed by Jamie L., and his crew enjoyed good codfishing. Several anglers all had their limit and everyone walked away with a very good showing for their efforts.
