Flounder Update: Happy Easter
We have sailed everyday including today. Overall, the local flounder fishing has been ostanding compared to past seasons. The ISLAND CURRENT III had a private charter on Friday for Andy & Dino and it was a FULL BOAT LIMIT. Ca. Scott was happy to report several double headers.
On Sat. & Sun. the fishing was slower b the quailty of the fish were very nice. We have fished a few different areas and have also found flounders in areas we have not seen in a long time.
We are sailing everyday at 8 AM for FLOUNDERS o of City Island, NY from Jacks Bait & Tackle, 1st traffic light, right hand side. Plenty of room this entire week, so come on down and enjoy the calm sheltered waters of the LI Sound.
Rhode Island Update
The 50` ISLAND CURRENT II sailed from SNUG HARBOR both Sat. & Sun. with Ca. Paul at the helm. The weather both days was superb. The fishing on Friday was slow and a few quailty fish were boated. Some fish at the end of the day were caught on jigs.
On Sat., 4/7 Jeff C., & Karen from CT p a trip together and Karen took the pool with a 21 pound cod. The fishing was far better on Sat., and with the lighter crowd there was much more fish to go around.
