SAT. 3/17 CODFISHING
Today, 3/17 Ca. James was the skipper oard the ISLAND CURRENT III as the beaiful weather and recent good fishing of larger “STEAKER” cod being caught brought o a “FULL BOAT” of codfisherman. We did manage some cod b not nearly enough to go around for everyone. The ling which has been overly undant seemed to also back off today. It was a beaiful day on the water and the fishing was a tough grind with a few fish showing up hear and there on all the drops. Pool fish today was 17 pounds.
Ca. Paul was the skipper of the 50` ISLAND CURRENT II and reported another picky day on the cod front however with the smaller crowd on the IC2 the catch was much more resple. Ca. Paul did mention that late in the day he saw a few more fish coming up regularly.
