Sunday, 1/22 Much Improved Codfishing Today Aboard Island Current IIICapt. Scott called in to report a much different day than yesterday. Everyday day is a new day and the light crowd were able to dig into some nice codfish, hake, pollock, and ling. Today we had a lot of talented anglers who were adept at using the rod.
Capt. Scott was very happy to see once again a surplus of bait consisting of mackerel and herring. In addition, to a decent cod bite there were lots of ling boated.
The weather looks pretty lousy for the next few days nor’easter will be pushing through. We will continue to sail daily and look to get out as quickly as Mother Nature allows.
