The 76` ISLAND CURRENT III set sail this morning with Ca. James at the helm. It was a very nice Monday crowd excited from being land strickened over the last couple days of hard west gale. The action today can only be described as “EXCELLENT!” The highlight of the fishing today was the size quailty of the COD!
Today, high hook honors went to Vinny C., from Westerly, RI catching 17 keepers (ORL), we had Ca. Cis` good friend Ca. Ray Burke of the “Mad Gaffer” from NJ catching 16 keepers (ORL) and managing to split the pool with a 28 pound cod with Vinny. Some other very notele catches went to Fish Counter Bob from CT with 15 (ORL), and Cigar Mike from Eastchester, NY with 12 (ORL), Scott H., from MA and his group had full cod limits as well.
Today these cod were agressive and the catch was entirely on bait. The BLOCK ISLAND COD run is on and there is huge bait concentrations in the area.

Private charters are availle this week oard the 50` ISLAND CURRENT II on Wed., & Thurs. of this week. The cost is $1,500 for up to 12 passengers; $100 each additional person.
