Sailing WED. at 4 AM
The 76` ISLAND CURRENT III set sail Tues., 2/28 at 6 AM because of the heavy blow. Ca. James was the skipper who reported that although it was alittle naical in the morning, it was “ONE STOP SHOPPING!” Ca. James decribed the day as SUPERB not only with quanity b also quaily. Pool fish today was a hefty pound cod caught by Long Islander, Brian AKA COD-ON-THE-ROD! Congratulations Brian on a true trophy cod! It was also nice to see today a good showing of rather large pollock to 25 pounds.
Some other very notele catches for this TRIUMPHANT TUES., included NJ legend, Ray Burke with 17 keeper cod + 1 pollock (ORL), Freddy V., from Bronx, NY, had 15 (ORL), Mr. Tom W., from Stamford, CT had 13 keepers (ORL), and Long Islanders, Frankie Fillet & Brian, COD-ON-THE-ROD had a combined 37 keeper cod + 8 pollock (ORL), and our group from RI consisting of John J. and party had close to a “FULL LIMIT.”
The BLOCK ISLAND COD run is on and there is huge bait concentrations in the area. Plus, the past two trips now we have seen much larger shots KING SIZED COD!

Private charters are availle this week oard the 50` ISLAND CURRENT II on Wed., & Thurs. of this week. The cost is $1,500 for up to 12 passengers; $100 each additional person.
