Today, Thurs., 2/7/13 Ca. James reported a much slower trip than they experienced on the last two trips. The fish would come in flurries b never really materialize. With the great weather forecast and previous great trips we had a full boat of anglers. Ca. James moved around and covered a lot of terrain pting in 110% effort and by day`s end everyone went home with some fish. Some anglers did better than others and the hi-hook of the trip was John from NY, buddies with the infamous “Gary Arms” tallying up 12 cod (ORL) and winning the pool with a nice fish in the low 20`s. The boat was using fresh skimmers and cracking lots of shell skimmers as chum. There were a few pollock and some by-catch of ling.
We are NOT sailing Sat., due to “Blizzard Nemo” however, we are looking to sail Sunday based on the updated forecast. Please make your reservations for Sunday and always call in after 5 PM the night before to confirm your resevations & sailing.
The ISLAND CURRENT FLEET is sailing at 4 AM and fully stocked with fresh skimmer clams and plenty of shell bait for chum.
There has been plenty of room now that were are using the 76` ISLAND CURRENT III, which is equipped with a full galley, cushioned interior seating, and large spacious heated cin. Please call the office to confirm your reservation or book online.
